K:IV Makeup Tutorial

K-IV Here, and I have been really thinking about what I am going to bring to this blog with my very first post, and it literally took me two seconds to figure it out. So, I will be doing a little makeup tutorial for you guys! A little bit behind that, I have been OBSESSED (understatement) with the beauty guru, Jaclyn Hill. I have never in my life seen someone who has such an amazing ability to work with makeup than her, and that is where I got my obsession with makeup. It excites me to get new product, but husband doesn't enjoy my splurging as much as I do. So without further ado, here is my go to, everyday look. Hope you enjoy! <3

First, I prime my eyes with MAC Pro Longwear Concealer. This really ensures that your shadow won't move. The lady seriously didn't get it right, so my concealer is totally darker than my skin, so I use that just to prime my eyes (Irritating)

Next, I go in with Makeup Geek's "Peach Smoothie" with the Sigma E40 Blending brush, I just put that all over my lid, not really focusing on any certain areas. I know it doesn't look a whole lot different, but thats what I want, I just want it to be a more flawless base.

Then, I'll take Makeup Geek's "Creme Brûlée" with Sigma's E25 goat hair blending brush and focus more on the outer corner and blend that in slightly.

Now, Switching up palettes, I'm gonna get into the Too Faced Natural eye, and take "Honey Pot" with Sigma's E55 Eye Shading Brush, and I'm going to pack this on my inner corner and dragging it out slightly.

Next, I'll take that same brush, and get into Too Faced "A Few of My Favorite Things" and grab a similar color called "Honey Honey" and I'll spray a little of MAC's Fix +, just to dampen it a little and make the color more metallic, and I'm gonna put this right in the middle of my eye, closest to my lashes, I'll just pack it on, and drag it along my lash line.

Next, I'll go back into Too Faced Natural Eye palette, and take "Cocoa Puff" with Sigma's E45 Tapered Blending Brush and focus more on the outer corner to make it look more smoked out.

Lastly, I highlight my brow bone with Benefit's "Watt's Up!" and very lightly drag it over my brow bone, and then I will go back into Too Faced "A Few of My Favorite Things" palette, and I'll take the color "Snowflakes" and just lightly go over that with just a random brush I got from the Naked2 palette.

The next thing I will do is tightline my waterline with Drew Barrymore's Flower eyeliner. Then I will do my eyeliner with Maybeline's Eye Studio gel liner in the color "Blackest Black" with a Japonesque 240 brush.

Now for eyelashes, so I don't normally wear eyelashes, I have thee most bipolar eyes in this world, and they hate false eyelashes. So whenever I attempt to wear them, the waterworks begin, and they just take forever to stick, and then when I finally do get them to stick, I'm out and about my eyes will randomly freak out, and the lashes fall off, and they are NOT cute, so I've been au naturale for quite some time, but these two mascaras together have saved me! They are so amazing and when I run out of these two sample sizes, I will most definitely be purchasing the big ones. So I use the Too Faced "Better Than Sex" to coat my lashes and then use Benefit's "They're Real!" to comb them through and give that perfect look! Aaand badabing! Eyelashes. (Not much, I know!)

So my makeup routine is all over the place! Next I'll be doing my foundation and concealer! So I have not found a foundation that I am completely in love with so, I just purchased this Fit Me foundation and concealer, in the shade 210 and 10 and I'm hoping I'll love it haha. So I apply my concealer in a V shape under my eyes, on the bridge of my nose, on my chin, and in between my eyebrows. (Shown in the image below.) I use the Sigma F86 Tapered Kabuki to blend it all out. As for foundation I just do circular motions starting from the center of my face and blending outwards with the Sigma F80 Flat Top Kabuki Brush. (Don't mind me, I can't take good pictures to save my life.)

So I used MAC's Mineralize Skin Finish in "Medium" just to powder my face with a Bare Minerals Full Flawless Face Brush. Then I used Benefit's Hoola Bronzer and the NARS Ita Brush to contour my cheeks and my nose. Then I used NARS blush in the shade "Torrid" and applied that on the apples of my cheeks and blended it into the bronzer, with another Bare Minerals Angled Face Brush. Then finally I went with MAC's Mineralize Skin Finish in "Soft and Gentle" and highlighted my cheek bones, bride of my nose, chin, and cupids bow, with a random brush I got from Walmart. So the image below of my faces, the bottom one is just the bronzer contour, the middle is the blush, and the top is the highlighter and all of it blended together.

Next I will FINALLY fill in those pathetic eyebrows! I wait to do this after all my foundation and powders so I don't smudge them or anything. I Finally caved and bought myself the Anastasia Brow Wiz. I was so annoyed with how expensive it was, that I kept the thought that any eyebrow pencil would do the job. WRONG. I am so in love with this brow pencil because it seriously is so easy to work with and it makes your eye brows look flawless. So.. Sorry honey.. I will be spending 28 dollars on an eyebrow pencil. LOOOVEE YOUUU. Haha I'll do a before and after to show you how amazing it is!

So after that I quickly will just use that Flower Eyeliner and go along my waterline, and then use the "They're Real" Mascara and coat my bottom lashes and I go back in with that shadow "Snowflakes" and I highlight my inner corner and then I am DONE!

So yeah, this is my "go to" everyday look! I hope you enjoyed this as much as I did! A little disclaimer, I am not a professional, I have taken a few cosmetic classes that's it, and just my idea of what looks good. I enjoy doing makeup and collecting the crap out of it! xxooxxooXXooXx
