EOS Lip Balm allergy?

K:III

Haven't been on this in over a year and i guess i have a lot of stories to catch you up on, but first a post about a recent struggle.

For Christmas 2014 I got a gift from my work which was the Costco back of the EOS lip balms. I was so excited to try these because I LOVE chapstick and my lips get murdered in the winter from the dry freezing cold. My sisters, bloggers, friends just about everybody has these right? So when I got home I showed my sister (who has the whole collection) and just told me how much she loved these. The passion fruit one was the first one I used, then just tried on the rest to see which smell I loved best. I stuck with the passion fruit and was using it all night and the next day. It was not even 24 hours my lips were itching and killing me and I was thinking they were just flaring up from the weather so I applied more if the lip balm. The next more they were itching and burning so bad that I was freaking out and went to tell K:I what was going on. She told me I might have an allergy to something in those balms. I stopped using them and went strictly on Carmex only. It took about 2 weeks but they finally heeled up.

So 3 nights ago I was going to bed and my lips needed chapstick, I didn't want to go downstairs to get something for them but I still had the pink EOS in my bathroom, so I did one quick swipe and went to bed. When I woke up the next morning my lips were on fire and itching. I knew it was from the EOS balm. I was so frustrated and I am never using them again.

I wish the story ended there. So they have been non stop itching and applying Carmex like its nobody's business. Yesterday they were itching so bad that I couldn't help but scratch them a little. I guess a little too much because my lip developed a rash, it was still itching and I kept scratching, although I tried not to. My rash turned into something else and flared up and is now burning and itching. So this is where I am at right now.

This morning I woke up and found K:I had her last EOS balms in the garbage.

Hope this helps someone.

new years resolution... ?

KIII here...
So I never do new years resolutions, or at least maybe I say I will but NEVER do. So this year I am trying to do something new. I am trying to break a bad habit or pick up a good one each month. I hope it does something. I just want to prove to myself that I can do it. So for this month I am trying not to drink any coke (or any soda for that matter, but I always choose coke so that is why I say no coke). So I want to see how this goes. Of course I will never fully stop drinking coke, but drinking a lot less will be better for my health and for my teeth.

Wish me luck!
GO ME!

Journal

KIII here;
So when I was in 6th grade I started writing in a journal, a very large journal that KI had given me. I had no idea what I was writing to be honest. Not much goes on in a 12 year olds life. Ha! Once I got into high school I wrote quite a bit, about heart breaks, family,  bullies, and a lot about cheerleading. Well after my mom left it was so hard to even look at my journal for some reason. I didn't want to write in it, I didn't want to look at it. For months it just sat there as my world seemed to be crumbling down. One day I grabbed it, wrote a quick summary of what had happened for the past few months, closed it and taped and taped and taped it shut. I threw it in the back of a closet and I haven't opened it since. I never thought I would write in a journal again, I have tried but it never works.
So KI, KIV and I were up north shopping and they wanted to go into barnes and noble, which I have never been into except to walk through once. Well I showed KIV this journal and I didn't  know that it was until she explained what it is. I thought you wrote random stuff for five years and I thought it was pretty overwhelming. But what it is, is a book of random questions, one for each day. KIV and I both got one. I this is such a great idea! Its only four lines to answer the question or not. Then the next year you will be on the same question and you can choose to answer it or not. It has forced me to write in a journal which I never thought I'd write again. KI loved it so much I am going to pick her up one this week.

Two pages from the journal. January 10th says, Write down something that inspired you today.

obsessed with these pants...

To say I LOVE fashion is an understatement. I wish I could explain how much I love it, and I wish my wallet was big enough to show how much I love it. (and I am not saying I spend a lot on clothes, I am a bargain shopper, for sure) Most of my posts will be about fashion but I have to wait till my lil sister takes some nice pictures. For now here are some items that I am obsessed with and where to get them.

I like to have one or two main stand-out items. So pick that one first then everything else should just compliment it. This is my stand out piece:

Leopard Metallic Skinny Jeans $16.99  FOREVER 21

Match it with a red Sheer Boxy Crop Top $9.80  FOREVER 21

A nude Lace Layering Bandeau underneath so pretty but not real noticeable $9.80 FOREVER 21

For the shoes dress it up with these Lace Up Peep Toe Wedge $38.50 Charlotte Russe

Or dress down with these Total Stud Booties $19.90 Forever 21

For the jewelry, keep it pretty simple with some gold, like these earrings from icing  $1.99

and these amazing bangles from icing $12.50.

top it off with a top knot like this and you are all set.

I want this whole oufit now! I am so obsessed with making new outfits! This was just a simple every day or going out outfit. I was just looking online for clothes, seen these pants and just had to make an amazing outfit out of it! I hope you like it! I hope someone reads this!;) Hey! ha! Okay been way too long of a day! Goodnight..

K:IV Makeup Tutorial

K-IV Here, and I have been really thinking about what I am going to bring to this blog with my very first post, and it literally took me two seconds to figure it out. So, I will be doing a little makeup tutorial for you guys! A little bit behind that, I have been OBSESSED (understatement) with the beauty guru, Jaclyn Hill. I have never in my life seen someone who has such an amazing ability to work with makeup than her, and that is where I got my obsession with makeup. It excites me to get new product, but husband doesn't enjoy my splurging as much as I do. So without further ado, here is my go to, everyday look. Hope you enjoy! <3

First, I prime my eyes with MAC Pro Longwear Concealer. This really ensures that your shadow won't move. The lady seriously didn't get it right, so my concealer is totally darker than my skin, so I use that just to prime my eyes (Irritating)

Next, I go in with Makeup Geek's "Peach Smoothie" with the Sigma E40 Blending brush, I just put that all over my lid, not really focusing on any certain areas. I know it doesn't look a whole lot different, but thats what I want, I just want it to be a more flawless base.

Then, I'll take Makeup Geek's "Creme Brûlée" with Sigma's E25 goat hair blending brush and focus more on the outer corner and blend that in slightly.

Now, Switching up palettes, I'm gonna get into the Too Faced Natural eye, and take "Honey Pot" with Sigma's E55 Eye Shading Brush, and I'm going to pack this on my inner corner and dragging it out slightly.

Next, I'll take that same brush, and get into Too Faced "A Few of My Favorite Things" and grab a similar color called "Honey Honey" and I'll spray a little of MAC's Fix +, just to dampen it a little and make the color more metallic, and I'm gonna put this right in the middle of my eye, closest to my lashes, I'll just pack it on, and drag it along my lash line.

Next, I'll go back into Too Faced Natural Eye palette, and take "Cocoa Puff" with Sigma's E45 Tapered Blending Brush and focus more on the outer corner to make it look more smoked out.

Lastly, I highlight my brow bone with Benefit's "Watt's Up!" and very lightly drag it over my brow bone, and then I will go back into Too Faced "A Few of My Favorite Things" palette, and I'll take the color "Snowflakes" and just lightly go over that with just a random brush I got from the Naked2 palette.

The next thing I will do is tightline my waterline with Drew Barrymore's Flower eyeliner. Then I will do my eyeliner with Maybeline's Eye Studio gel liner in the color "Blackest Black" with a Japonesque 240 brush.

Now for eyelashes, so I don't normally wear eyelashes, I have thee most bipolar eyes in this world, and they hate false eyelashes. So whenever I attempt to wear them, the waterworks begin, and they just take forever to stick, and then when I finally do get them to stick, I'm out and about my eyes will randomly freak out, and the lashes fall off, and they are NOT cute, so I've been au naturale for quite some time, but these two mascaras together have saved me! They are so amazing and when I run out of these two sample sizes, I will most definitely be purchasing the big ones. So I use the Too Faced "Better Than Sex" to coat my lashes and then use Benefit's "They're Real!" to comb them through and give that perfect look! Aaand badabing! Eyelashes. (Not much, I know!)

So my makeup routine is all over the place! Next I'll be doing my foundation and concealer! So I have not found a foundation that I am completely in love with so, I just purchased this Fit Me foundation and concealer, in the shade 210 and 10 and I'm hoping I'll love it haha. So I apply my concealer in a V shape under my eyes, on the bridge of my nose, on my chin, and in between my eyebrows. (Shown in the image below.) I use the Sigma F86 Tapered Kabuki to blend it all out. As for foundation I just do circular motions starting from the center of my face and blending outwards with the Sigma F80 Flat Top Kabuki Brush. (Don't mind me, I can't take good pictures to save my life.)

So I used MAC's Mineralize Skin Finish in "Medium" just to powder my face with a Bare Minerals Full Flawless Face Brush. Then I used Benefit's Hoola Bronzer and the NARS Ita Brush to contour my cheeks and my nose. Then I used NARS blush in the shade "Torrid" and applied that on the apples of my cheeks and blended it into the bronzer, with another Bare Minerals Angled Face Brush. Then finally I went with MAC's Mineralize Skin Finish in "Soft and Gentle" and highlighted my cheek bones, bride of my nose, chin, and cupids bow, with a random brush I got from Walmart. So the image below of my faces, the bottom one is just the bronzer contour, the middle is the blush, and the top is the highlighter and all of it blended together.

Next I will FINALLY fill in those pathetic eyebrows! I wait to do this after all my foundation and powders so I don't smudge them or anything. I Finally caved and bought myself the Anastasia Brow Wiz. I was so annoyed with how expensive it was, that I kept the thought that any eyebrow pencil would do the job. WRONG. I am so in love with this brow pencil because it seriously is so easy to work with and it makes your eye brows look flawless. So.. Sorry honey.. I will be spending 28 dollars on an eyebrow pencil. LOOOVEE YOUUU. Haha I'll do a before and after to show you how amazing it is!

So after that I quickly will just use that Flower Eyeliner and go along my waterline, and then use the "They're Real" Mascara and coat my bottom lashes and I go back in with that shadow "Snowflakes" and I highlight my inner corner and then I am DONE!

So yeah, this is my "go to" everyday look! I hope you enjoyed this as much as I did! A little disclaimer, I am not a professional, I have taken a few cosmetic classes that's it, and just my idea of what looks good. I enjoy doing makeup and collecting the crap out of it! xxooxxooXXooXx
